Set Up

1. Climb aboard
2. Push battery knob to right and hold for 5 seconds.
3. Sit in the driver's seat
4. Set master switch on
5. Set reverser to forward
6. Raise (activate) pantograph
7. Close pantograph circuit breaker
8. Turn on safety systems - left A pillar
9. Switch headlights on to bright
10. Release the independent brake
11. Disengage parking brake

Tempomat - not on 422

• Ctrl R to turn on - power/brake handle must be at 0
• R to set speed and increase speed
• F to reduce speed
• To enable Tempomat while stationary:
  • With the Combined Power Handle in 0 position, press the Tempomat Button so it is On - Ctrl R
  • Select your desired speed by moving the Tempomat switch into increase (R), allowing for 1-5 km/h then increasing in 5 km/h increments upto X km/h
  • You can change your speed at anytime using the Tempomat increase or decrease (F) ranges
  • While Tempomat is enabled, the Combined Power Handle has no effect, the train will accelerate and brake with it left in the 0 position - if you move the Handle in to power or braking then back to 0, this will automatically disable Tempomat
  • To enable Tempomat while on the move:
  • Move the Combined Power Handle to the 0 position
  • Press the Tempomat Button so it is On
  • The train will hold the speed you are currently coasting at, and you can use the Tempomat Switch to increase or decrease your speed

Recover from Emergency Brake

• Come to a stop
• Press PZB release and PZB acknowledge
• If emergency button pressed, press again to reset
• Brakes on then release
• If brakes will not release, check that independant brake is in "release" and not "hold"
• Drive away

Change Ends

1. Maximum brake
2. Reverser neutral
3. Lights to off/tail
4. Master switch off
5. Change ends
6. Master switch on
7. Headlights dim
8. Reverser forward

Destination Board

1. On left screen, press buttons 8, 2 then 1 on bottom row
2. Use up and down arrow on right to find destination
3. Press E for enter

• Does not have LZB
• Destination display:
  • Press 8 on the left screen
  • Select destination with up down buttons
  • Press E to enter
